Unlike with previous Backup2004 Pro, it is no longer necessary to define a connection for each backup set.
Now the FTP-HTTP dialog box lets you to define a list from which you pick the connection needed when you are crating the backup set.
If you change a parameter of the connection (e.g. password) you don't need to change all concerned backup sets. Just change the parameter in this list.

Backup2005 Pro supports FTP, FTPS and HTTP protocol. With FTPS you need to have a valid certificate installed on your computer to access the server.
The url must start with ftp://ftp. or ftps://ftps. or http://www. the domain name and the folder where to store the archive file.
Of course you can also use IP address.
If the folder does not exist on the server, and if you have the rights, it will be created when testing the connection.
For HTTP protocol the folder must exist.
If you are connected to the internet through a proxy server check the Use proxy settings item. Proxy settings are defined in Firewall parameters (see Other tools)
Values of Use proxy settings, Tries and Time out can be set as default value. They will be proposed for the next Ftp-Http connection.
To add the connection to the list, first test the connection, click the
button. If the connection is successful click the
button.
To modify a connection select it in the Select combo box. change the parameter, test the connection and click the
button.
To remove a connection click the
button.
